For one evening in December, San Nicolas handed the street over to the fair. The galleries stayed open late, stalls went up along the promenade, and the lights, the music and the makers did the rest.
The Workshops
Inside the galleries, tables were set for anyone who wanted to make something rather than buy it — paint, brushes, bare ornaments, and a few hours of the evening to use them in.
The Makers
Handmade work filled the tables along the street — jewellery, ornaments, crafts and candles beside food cooked and sold by the island’s own vendors. Every stall was someone’s own.
The Street at Night
Once the lights came on, the music moved outdoors.
Hasi Un Mucha Feliz
The part of the night that wasn’t for sale — food on the table, and a wrapped gift for every child on the list.
