Helena Hoes

Born in Amsterdam in 1966, with Dutch and Indonesian roots, Helena Hoes is a ceramic artist based in Aruba whose work captures the organic beauty of form, texture, and movement. A lifelong creative, Helena’s path has blended artistry and entrepreneurship, from running a custom shop in the Netherlands—focused on design, signage, and specialty paint—to co-founding an atelier and gallery space offering workshops, exhibitions, and tours. Now rooted in Aruba, Helena continues to explore the expressive potential of clay. Her ceramic sculptures are intuitive and deeply tactile, often inspired by natural shapes and flowing lines.
